Could you just trade someone for a street version? Would you still need another bumper then?
The Fix-it list: Idle is starting to fluctuate Alternator output is fluctuating Driveshaft needs rebuilt squeaks and rattles Install Downpipe Install MBC Interior refresh (Replace headliner, Recover seats, Replace dash (cracks and a chunk missing), replace carpet, reinstall rear seats and trim with some sound deadening material, make sub and rear floor. Exterior refresh (Needs d/s fender and door, cladding is loose, paint is ok, but could use some TLC, center tail light assembly is cracked.
I think that is all, but I'm sure I'm missing something. Nothing is major, oh except that I need to find another AWD trans. Mine has some minimal grinding into third and hard to get into second at times. Plus there are some cracks in the bell housing because the previous owner drove it with the trans bolts loose. It's a project car, but it is still fun to drive. I've always wanted one of these.

Headliner here too, lemme know how you do that. I have thought about ripping mine out and recovering it with something funky...
I don't know about the front mount, I don't have the time right now to dink with it. but yes the ONLY concern that I have with the one I have is that there's no bumper. I was younger and dumber...

I did suede on the door panel inserts and they look good. I tried to do the headliner in suede, but the glue kept soaking through and making the suede stiff. I wanted to put it on thick since the suede is heavier. I took that off and just went to Joanns and got some regular headliner material. I have to put it on still. Probably going to do it tomorrow actually. I did the pass visor in suede as well, but I haven't found anything that will hold the seam together properly. Its easy to recover it. Just make sure that you get as much of the old glue off as you can that way you have a good base for the glue to adhere to. I usually use the nice 3M spray glue. They have it at Autozone for $20 a can, but they also have some headliner glue for $10 I think. I have them both. Make sure you spray both the headliner cardboard and the fabric and let it set for a few mins to tack up nicely. You can use staples on the backside to help ensure the liner doesn't fall later.

I saw a headliner that I really like as far as "stock" clean looks go, the '05 chevy malibu has a cool liner that is like a cross hatch looking smooth design.

Interesting. I haven't really seen anything that was headliner material at a fabric store that wasn't just the basic stuff. You can use whatever you want really, you just have to make sure that the glue is strong enough to hold the fabric in place. Normally you will want to use some kind of foam to back it will as well. The headliner fabric comes with the foam attached and it's is usually about 1/4 thick including the fabric.
