Why would the guys at halls make fun of me? Is it because my 4 door gives them competition? Especially with the lack of mods I have. Most v8 guys are such douches that think they are the bomb-whippy of performance. It's fucking irritating they need to compensate their lack of girth on the cack with their cars.

Oh yea they are like that. They gave me shit about my firebird being stock and up there just to hang out. Interesting crowd. Now if I showed up in the talon, they would point me down to bobicks.

Pretty decent race. The car sounds good! Hard to get some of those guys respect unless you walk over them or have a 400+ hp V8. Even if you do beat them, they will still pick on you.

Most of the guys around here are so far stuck up themselves that they don't appreciate any other form of performance. It makes me sick how big of assholes they can be. I may be the "crazy honda humper" but if are rockin a sick honda with some big numbers at the strip or on the dyno, then by all means, more power to ya. Have fun with what you like.

Why didn't he want to race from a dig? :P That Cobra is pretty nasty though.

After being around a few different town's car crowds, I can truthfully say that Fort Wayne has the downright shittiest car scene in Indiana people-wise (except for the guys on this board and a few others I know  ) Anyone with a decent car keeps to themselves or to small clubs like this one, if said person actually "gets out" and "cruises around" (eg Halls guys), they usually have a huge head on their shoulders, any others are usually ricers and idiots. In Terre Haute, there are some decent cars and everyone is really nice, Indy is... well, Indy, South Bend-land really knows how to get down. Unfortunately the DSM crowd has mostly died off in Terre Haute and South Bend, but the ex DSM'ers are still around. Then again, on paper, why the hell would Fort Wayne have much of a car scene in the first place?- no race-tracks, all the performance shops and garages are now mostly non-existant, cops have become douche-canoes about any spirited driving on the roads, the list goes on.

This board and you guys on it are the only thing that give me evidence that a good group of car friends still exists in Fort Wayne and its area.
Thanks for being around guys.

There has been a rumor that a group of people are trying to get a track to be built on the outskirts of Auburn. 8)

That's just going to be a small track for autocross.

The actual road course is going to be in New Haven south of Mills junk yard. There's going to be a new sheriff's training center built there with a full pursuit and evasion course that will double as a race track on the weekends. They're still raising funds before they break ground, and I'm sure this economy put the brakes on it to some degree, but I've already seen the land layout and the course design.

We need a dedicated drag strip. I don't want to have to fix my car to get it back home if I snap an axle my first time out.
