I'm still up in the air right now. What would be the cons for the stoker? I'm probably going to start picking up parts for a different motor regardless of which way I go. Mainly because I know that my car has a boneyard motor in it and I have no clue what it has been through or even how many miles are on it. I figured it would be best to just start fresh while this one is still running and then sell off my old motor later on. I don't know...I'm still on the fence.

One thing is for sure, If you build a stroker, the block must be SLEEVED! Or else you will have no chance at Zero niner gee ice man's hp record.

Stock bottom ends have gone loooow 10's @ over 140mph with a 35r... So yea, well over 600Hp...
I'm gonna use some Nippon Racing pistons if mine look bad once I get the head off. I've read posts that people have done over 400whp with them. $105 shipped with rings on Ebay. They are just stock replacement items, not forged or anything special.

What kind of time does it take for the evo 16g to spool? You say it will come on around 3,000, which is fine for me, may be little higher that what I would want for a DD. I just don't want to get passed by a Yugo while I'm waiting for it to spool. That was one of the major appeals of the stroker, getting more on the bottom end, but still having a good street power up top. I'm not looking to drag race my car. I'll probably autocross it every now and then just for fun. I'm still not complete convinced that the stroker isn't the best way to go with my car, but I do like some of the other options. A big factor to that is that I don't have to build the engine for the evo 16g.

If your wanting full boost at 2k you must be dreaming. I run a big 16g with stock cams, for now lol, and std. bore 8.3:1 wiseco's and I am hitting 23psi around 3500. That is plenty fast enough on the street. I also have a stout torque pull in the mid range. A few people have riden in my car and know how hard it pulls and I run high 12's on straight pump.

you can swap in a 13b with twinturbos and it should be getting good boost by 2000 / 2500 rpms. Lol

I'm not necessarily looking to have full boost at 2,000. I know that is unrealistic. Full boost by 3,000 would be nice and decent boost around 2,000 to 2,500. Forgive me if I'm off my rocker here, this is the first turbo car I've owned and my last to cars were V8s (Mustang and SHO). The Talon in it's present form will walk all over the SHO and keep up with the Mustang. I'm just used to a little more umph on the bottom end. Don't get me wrong, I love the Talon, I always have liked these cars. I just want to improve the overall power of the car without losing too much bottom end for a DD. That is why the stroker appealed to me. Ya, I'm going to lose some RPMs, but it is RPMs that I don't use now anyway. I think I'm going to start pricing out what I need to go with an Evo 16g. Go with that for now. If the boost lag bothers me greatly, then I'll look into the stroker at that time. Thanks for the info guys.
