Not today, but it's only done it three time total. When do my motor mounts, I'm going to rerun the wiring from the alt to the battery. I have some 4 ga wire laying around from an old stereo install. I just have to make it stay somewhat away from the heat of the exhaust. I'm going to do this anyway, but if it acts up again then it will happen sooner.

Are you still using the factory wing nuts on the battery terminals ? Check for holes in your hood if you are. I had it happen to me when my wing nuts from the battery terminal would hit the hood.

Hmmm..didn't think of that. I got some new terminals from the Zone, but they still are the wingnut style. It hasn't done it since I replace those and cleaned all of that battery connections

Like I said, give the hood a look and see if you've burned a hole in the hood. I'm kinda curious if that's what it was.

I'll take a look tonight. I have to finish resealing my throttle body anyway, so I'll look at it when I'm out there. There wasn't a battery tie down in the car when I got it, so it does make sence.

Well, hopefully it's just that simple, and you didn't have a battery tie down then it makes sense that could have been the issue

Yea the wingnuts hitting the hood is a common problem. That is why the positive side came with a cover from the factory. I have the burn marks from when it did it to me.

Nope, that wasn't it. I would imagine it is a broken or corroded wire somewhere that is causing the issue. It hasn't done it for awhile *knock on wood.* I have my throttle body back together and I'm waiting on the car to warm up right now. It is definitely idling better so far, but only driving it will tell for sure. Those throttle shaft seals were really bad, they just broke apart when I took them out. Plus I checked my TPS and it was sitting at .7 V. Vfaq says .9, so I set it there for now.

I'll get to the link eventually. First is to get this damn thing running good, then put on my MBC and then start saving for Evo 3 16g, injectors, fuel pump, DSMlink, GM Maf, better driveshaft, and rebuild the rear end....Oh, and the brakes, I think that is the start...wait, I forgot the FMIC too....damn....

Thanks. I actually have off idle throttle response now. There is still something going on because the RPMs drop to about 600-700 when I come to a stop, but the go right back up to 900. I'm thinking that the IAC is going bad and can't respond fast enough, but that is just a though. Probably going to pick up another logger here in the next month so hopefully I'll get it completely figured out then.
