My beat up 1g talon back together. She cranks and has spark and i smell amd see fuel on spark plug but will not start but all timing make line up. and no sound of vaule smacking. Yes it has gas in the tank i put fresh gas in it.
I think that little spacer that has the time mark must have came off the drift key killing my chance of getting it time.

I think i going bring number 1 to top dead center and the set can to time and see it that correct problem. Does any one know if that cause any problems.

Well Andy and Jared came to help look over talon. We removed valve cover see all intake valve were being compressed and rocker arms were loose. Then poped off the head to see what had died. all intake valve #2 and piston. Cause grabing wrong timing belt in barn that with ones that was new. Time belt jumped timeing when cranking over engine. We started about 1 oclock and bye 4 oclock the engine was out and barn cleaned car moved out

Damn man. Gotta make sure you double check everything putting together these engines. They are very picky about timming belt tension. Not having the correct pre-tension will throw off the tension from the hydralic tensioner or overextend the rod in the tensioner. Are you setting the pre-tension to 5 inlbs with the tensioner pulley?

If you don't have this little tool I highly sugest you buy one putting everything back together. http://www.jayracing.com/index.php?main ... ucts_id=48

Jesus man. Well, I have a spare head. It needs cleaned up, some valve seals and a valve job. I can get it fixed up if you want. Let me know. What are you going to do about the piston? How are the cylinder walls?

yes and with it leaking all ready whats point to let it keep leaking. And it the give the chance to rust the floor pan, or damage ecm, or other wires or senors.
