Dave's car seems to need a new head and or a new motor. Don't know how yet as the cams are in perfect time but all the valves are bent on the intake side.
Anyone got a good 2g head ready to go? Or a whole motor?

Well if someone has access to a 6 bolt tubo motor I'm all ears, but tuners doesn't have anything in the first 15 pages I can find. Only found one 7 bolt motor at all for sale for that matter.
Keep your eyes peeled!!

Man, thats no good. Did the timing belt brake then? It is very unusual to have the ENGINE (not a motor) still be in time and the valves bent. Have you guys pulled the head or checked compression? Throw the timing belt back and, re-time it and see if it starts/runs.

I do have a 2G head that is supposed to be in pretty good shape. I bought it off Corey awhile ago, and planned to either just use the retainers on my 1G or bolt the whole head on I but never did.
Has titanium retainers and dual valve springs.
Also, it is ported for a 1G intake manifold by Doug's Dyno power.
Let me know if your interested.
Jeff
P.S. Maybe Corey, (Polish) can chime in if he remembers any more details?

Crank jumped 3 teeth, smacked all the intake valves. We haven't had a chance to pull the head yet so were praying the block is still okay. I'm very interested in that head Jeff, sent you a PM. Let me know!!

Yea, i knew something wasn't right when we untangled the mess of outer drive belts and found the dampner seperated and busted the lower timing cover into a hundred pieces. Tried cranking it over, seemed to crank really fast. Checked compression, 0 on all. Checked timing, crank off 3 teeth. Also the BS Belt was extremely loose, basically no tension on it at all. We then pulled the valve cover and found all the intake valves stuck down with the rockers wiggling around (rick knows all about that). We started to pull the head off yesterday. Only got a few more bolts to get out, the turbo was being a pain so that finally made us call it a day. Need to get it off though and see how bad it actually is in there.

Head is in the mail. ARP studs should be coming too, waiting on an email.
Hoping the block is good, if not we'll be using my extra I guess. Lets just hope it's fine b/c blocks seem to be getting pretty scarce.

If it comes to the point of having to due the whole motor swap........ might as well spend a little bit of time and try and find a six bolt.........

Too late. Plus- there's a lot more to the swap than just the motor if I remember right.
Although if you find on let me know.
