it was somewhere on the metal line, i think at the fitting where it bolted to the driver side fan. I looked at it when it was running from underneath, and it looked like fluid was running out of the underside of where the metal meets the tube. Thats why i put the rest of the hose up there, realized i had enough, and just yanked the whole thing. I ziptied it to the other line at the bottom to make sure it doesnt flop on the header, and it seems fine. I'll double check it though tomorrow to make sure it isnt getting burnt, i smelled a tiny bit of a burnt rubber smell when i stopped but i'm not sure if its because of my bad alignment or what.

Noticed on tuesday that i've lost three quarts of oil since my last change, filled back up, and i'm going to check out my compression tomorrow and see what's what. I'm going to try to rent a leakdown tester too and see if i can figure out how/why i'm losing oil. It isnt leaking, and it isnt burning quickly enough to smoke so i dont know what it is. The coolant looks clear too. Hopefully it's just a valve seal or head gasket.

If lossing that much oil. your car will smoke at acceration, block soaked in oil at point were head mates. are loosing lot cooolent? that can you if tell if your looking at head gasket. Look st bottom end is main seal leaking, youre pullys and belts covered in oil? Or rear main seal is there oil leaking down form trany, If theres a clutch is it slipping can be if its manual. Cyclinder test kit only tell you little bit look a round.

I would go and put money on the main seal. ask jared about "Oil Pan Leak."
You realy need get check out from a shop mabye It sound like motor about let go. Low oil pressure is going come from lack of oil. our wiped out your bearning from lack of oil. Start listing for that death knock.

i think it's a valve seal now, because it leaks like two drops when i park somewhere (2 drops) and my friend was following me down 24 yesterday and said it was smoking a little. Since it runs fine, and the coolant and oil look fine i'd think that valve seals are all it could really be, am i wrong?

You can have a blown head gasket and not mix fluids. But with hondas using symize cylinders that sets in side of block and surounded by coolent. If you had oil in coolent that be crack in a cylinder wall. One more sing of bad head smell of coolent when engeine is up to temp or it has setting after driving.
The low oil pressure can be due to worn out mechanical oil pump. They normal go bad when oil is realy acidic or metal shiving in oil. you can check with correct amount of oil pressure in the engine. And your oil sensor should have a place to manualy check oil pressurel with pressure tester or remove sensor and put tester there.

i'm not sure because my friend didnt tell me specific enough and i cant get it to do it sitting in the driveway. It's not enough for me to see when idling, revving in the driveway, or accelerating/pulling away from a stop. I might have to get jared to follow me around for a bit to give me that info. And to clarify, the oil light came on because the oil was off the dipstick low, and stopped when i put even one quart in. I put the other two back in to bring it up where it needed to be, but it came on as i pulled into a parking space due to the slight incline.

a long time, as i've gone to defiance and back twice, and a few trips around town and to the lady's house and it's maybe only marginally lower than it was, so it's definately not very fast. I think if something major was broken it wouldnt run as good as it does.
edit: in the interest of simplicity, i'm going to take my spark plugs out tomorrow and see if one of my lower spark plug tube seals went. If this is the case, and this is why my car is burning oil, then it wont cost me anything to fix since i already have a new set of those. I mean if i have them, it cant hurt. Plus i can adjust my valves while it's apart. When i did the uppers last year one of the tubes leaked with the plug out so its possible that its finally worn out.

If you have a valve that fails to seal you get blow by in to the head that can force engine oil past the seals. this all give the burning of oil and when you take head cover off you have oil pooled up on the head, and in the valve cover.

well tonight i ordered a bunch of stuff:
90-93 TIMING BELT PACKAGE
90-02 4cyl FRONT CAM SEAL
90-02 4cyl FRONT CRANK SEAL
90-97 4cyl BALANCE SHAFT SEAL
90-93 THROTTLE BODY GASKET
I also got a new throttle body since the idle screw on mine was messed up (it was 25 bucks) and when my order gets here i'll go down to the honda dealer and pick up the balance shaft seal retainer, since the front balance shaft seal likes to walk out of its seat.

i wanted to throw this out there, does anyone have a crank pulley holder, or do you know where i could rent one or something? I cant really afford to spend 40 bucks on one right now, and if i dont have one of those i'd need an impact to get my crank pulley off.
