I have seen some weird things happen with the FIAV before, but usually if the idle is good, it should be alright. I thought of those 2 things because you said it runs rough for the first few minutes.

Under knock the ecu pulls timing, i'm no expert with the dsm ecu, but as I understood it there's no changes to fuel delivery coming from the ecu when it sees knock.

i will put some thick oil in the engine just to see if the knock goes away or shows less,if it does I know it is engine related.
that is only thing that I can think of that I haven't done all ready.

If you replaced the MAFS, did any of it have the honeycombs removed?

Al, can you post a couple of logs. One with you rolling slowly into the throttle, and one slamming it WOT. It sounds like you have a bad case of phantom knock. Also, any chance of a fuel leak at the pump where it connects to the hose or where the hose connects to the hanger? Did you use a new hose?

John,I have no clue how to post logs on here.I am tunning with pocketlogger on that car.
I don't even know if it is possible to do that without dsmlink. If phantom knock is the problem how do I get rid of it?

Some people have experienced phantom knock when the honeycombs are removed from the MAFS. I bet you might have a problem with the wire that runs to the knock sensor whether it is cracked or have corrosion somewhere. Are the lifters noisy?

If you go wide open, lift for about 1/2 second and get back into it, does it still lay down or does it run better?

if you can get it to hook up to a pc, just hit print screen and save it as a jpeg and then upload it like you upload any pic. Or take a pic/vid of the logger with a camera and post it up.

I had this similar problem when my car was running, I went through a flooded intersection and the problem started. do you have any recollection of the occurances before you had this problem? Or did you inherit this with the car? I always thaught it was the power transistor, but you have already swapped that. did you swap it with a New one?
