How long were you on the studderbox Almir? Is it the dsmlink studderbox setup? What cams are you on?
I can build 11psi by the second pop from my exhaust on my studderbox and 272's.

I am not on the studderbox at all,I just brake torque it and pull e- brake
and hold the gas pedal to the floor and then let go off the e-brake and foot brake at the same time once I build enough boost.
On the streets I do it all the time and get 11-12 psi which actually makes the car launch.

That is one of the things that I was going to change with that car is the turbo. I had problems as well building boost, but could get 10 psi, and that is what i ran a 12.6/110 with. You really have to lay into the brakes and hold the ebrake solid. I really thought the looser stall would help, and it did some, but still not able to get 12-15 psi, which launches like crazy in that car. The 14B in that car was fun as hell. 15+psi launches, 27 psi w/meth. Sporty and responsive turbo. Just not a bunch of topend. If I still had the car I would put an EVO 16G on it, or a small 50 shot to spool the 20G, or go to a FP GT30 turbo which is what I really planned on had i kept it.
P.S. the 12.6 was with a 1.8 60', so if you get that down you should pick up quite a bit.

No I don't want your beat up 18g HEHE JK
Kyle you know that I had that car ...you saw it at the meeting in front of pizza hut...remember???
Question for Jeff:
when you ran 12.6 with the car how many pounds of boost did you run
and was it on race gas?
Did you trailer the car there or drove it?
Because I think I figured it out why the car sometimes wouldn't boost off the line.

last night I launched the car 18psi off the line ,tha car went sideways and took off so hard that I almost swallowed my tongue insane.like i said I think I got it figured out.I believe that driving all the way down to muncie
causes torque converter to overheat which is not letting the car boost.
Last night was a cold night, ran the car for a minute and tried launching it
and it hit 18 psi.So I will trailer it down next time and wait an hour before runs so converter cools off nice and good.Have you guys ever seen big dog muscle cars when they wait in the line to go they keep shutting the car off or they push it,which makes sense to me now ,one of the reasons is that they don't want their torque converters to overheat.
Can someone back me up on this cause I don't know much about auto tranny's.I mean does it make sense that this could be my problem.
Btw...I saw fully built 1G eclipse awd at the track when I went.
The young guy from New Castle driving it ,said he knows Monte and Dave
Pretty wicked car !!!running turbonetics 60-1 I believe, same aeromotive fuel set up as my blue car,AEM stand alone, built engine etc...just need practice driving it down the track,he kept missing gears and bogging off the line.

You certainly could be onto something! I drove the car down there as well.
I had almost exactly the same symptoms you did.
Never thought of that.
I also wanted to change that turbo because of compressor surge above 25 psi that I could not cure. With a good launch that 20G should go mid 11's no problem at 27-28 psi I believe, but with the compressor surge it is impossible.
12.6 run was with 110 race gas, meth 50/50 (washer fluid) on and about 23-24 psi. Winter tires too haha!
I am gonna need a ride along in one of these 18 psi launches!

Do you have an aftermarket cooler on it, if not get one that has a fan on it, if it does maybe you need a bigger one or just put a small fan on it.

I knew you had the car, just didn't know which one you were talking about, or if you had the same setup on it.
That "built 1g" is turning out not to be as "built" as it sounds like. It could be quick, but it's far from it now.
I agree with Joe on the aftermarket cooler. Check Setrab's lineup. They've got some really nice efficient stuff.
