Well I dropped my Talon off at the shop over the weekend to get a confirmation on what I thought was the problem to my oil leak, unfortunately it is a bad head gasket. All the places I have called about getting that fixed estimated $1500-$2000.

I was just wondering if anybody on here would recommend where to go for maybe a lower price? Or of a place that would do quality work?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Are you serious!? We can help you man. If all you need to do is replace a HG, order a new OEM or Cometic and then pick up a set of ARP studs and we'll get you on the road.

Even if your head needs machining you can have it all done right for under $500. We just got my brothers changed and it was no problem.

Where can go to get it changed for $500? I just don't have any tools at my house right now because I just moved back to fort wayne. I don't really have the time to do it all myself so I just need help and want my Talon fixed and ready to run as soon as possible.

Thanks for all the help!

I can probably do it for that. What car do you have? Are you looking for $500 labor or Parts and Labor? I'll P/M you.

I mean if you buy the parts we'll change it for you!! Thats what we're here for man.

However, if you have no tools and don't have time to do it yourself, just pay Nightracer to do it. - It'll be perfect.

I'll do for 200 labor, and part wont be more than 200.
Parts neeed: HG, brake cleaner,($70) if you got the extra $
for other parts: all timing componets!

You leave it here Fri and would be done by Sun.

Hey and Scotty mail me if you still want that timing belt done,
like I said before around 3hr job, and a learning experinance!

3 hour job until you run into every possible thing that can go wrong pulling a cylinder head off a 15 year old car and reusing old stock shitty parts.

Exactly. I'm not very interested in doing it but I'll do it for $1200 including parts.

I already have talked to Nightracer about fixing the car for me. But thanks to everyone for all the help and advice. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make the Sept. 19th get together but if everything goes according to plan I will be out there.

Thanks again

True true...I just said that cuz my TSI is my only ride until I get my motorcycle back up and running (battery needs charged). So I will most likely be there, I may have a few friends come up too if that is alright.

-Nick-

Also I have a quick newbie question...how can I post pics of my car in my signature or anywhere else on here??

I use tinypic.com then paste the tag on your post or in your sig or where ever. You can use photobucket also.
