You can redo that boot yourself. Doesn't cost that much, I had to do it on the talon.

Yeah, I have the tools at work for CV boots. Got it ordered today. Only $30 with more grease and clamps.

I don't think the boot that DSS use is the same as advanced auto.

Oh ok. As long as no one uses the quickboots.

Yes, the DSS inner joint is not the same as the factory. I'd rather not fool around with trying to find one that fits and just get the right one.

Ordered a new Galant VR-4 alternator from JNZ yesterday. They are 90amp alternators correct? The old alternator case was missing a bolt and the treads were all striped out, so hopefully that was what was causing all this breakage.

Got the steel bracket today. This piece seems much stronger, just waiting on the alternator now.

I swear to god, I'm going to drive to N.C., open the door, take a huge shit on the floor and piss over everyone's desk at DDS.
The CV boot they sent me was completely wrong! WTF. They built the damn axle, wouldn't you think they knew what fucking boot is on it?
In a dash to get the car back together for Friday, I went to NAPA and was able to find a boot that sort of matched up. The bad thing is its not super tight around the shaft, so well have to see how bad it slings grease.
Time to chug some NyQuil and pass out.

Did you use the clamps from the boot kit? You might be able to throw on a worm gear clamp just for the day.

there are DSM alternators at Advance Auto that come in 90amp. Not sure if they are cheaper though, maybe something to look into.
